Hasan was looking to design a website that set him apart from other comedians. A site that reflected his personality and addiction to dorky but very cool things. He had another designer create an identity but still wasn’t too set on the final product. Hasan knew what he needed, a very cool website so that he could market himself to a quickly growing fan base but how to do that?
Hasan was recommended to amarantcreative by a previous nonprofit client, Shifa Clinic and after an initial scope meeting hasanminhaj.com was born (well at least the domain was registered). Hasan’s current identity was reviewed and amarantcreative suggested that before proceeding with the website design, it would be highly beneficial for the long term that the identity be redesigned to clearly reflect who Hasan Minhaj is. The process of identity creation defined the design elements to be used to create Hasan’s website. The color palette inspiration was a set of marvel comic book stamps and the super cool photos were courtesy of nila gurusinghe (a great amateur photographer). The completed site provides Hasan the ability to update and maintain his site using a simple web-based administration UI which also allows him to post photos to the gallery and upload videos. The end user gets a rich UI experience with touches of Flash and Ajax.
